I've been inspired by the election to work harder for our equal rights. I'm thinking that we need to have an organized effort that is more direct and less complacent. The major LGBT organizations are doing a decent job on the legal/political front. But, I think we may want to try a more humanistic, interactive approach that really creates change.

Are you on Facebook? If so, I'm starting to organize a coalition of college students (then eventually others) to start an actual movement for our civil rights, particularly marriage. If we can't get our equal rights with Obama in office, when will we get them? If you want to join, the group is (tentatively) called Gay and Lesbian Coalition for Civil Rights on Facebook. This is the Gather version, which is the same but will probably attract a different audience. If you're interested, please consider joining both!
